The bounds stay the same, but the total material requirement can increase significantly.

Diameter, radius and circle dimensions

The diameter is the full width of the circle from one outside edge to the other. The radius is half that distance, measured from the centre to the edge. This calculator uses odd diameters from 5 to 41 blocks because an odd width gives one centre block and makes the four quadrants easy to mirror. For example, a 21-block circle has a centre line at block 11.

Even-diameter circles are possible in Minecraft, but they have a two-block centre and require a different symmetry pattern. Keeping the first version of this tool to odd sizes makes the chart easier to read and reduces alignment mistakes during construction.

Tips for a more accurate Minecraft circle

Start by marking both centre axes with temporary blocks. Build one quarter of the outline directly from the chart, then mirror each run length across the vertical and horizontal axes. Check the four widest points before connecting the curved sections. If they are not the same distance from the centre, correct the alignment before adding height.
